RFP Construction Manager - 2018 Safe Routes to School Downtown Connection Phase I The intent is to obtain professional construction management and inspection services for the federally-funded 2018 Safe Routes to School Downtown Connection Project in High Bridge Borough, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. The contract will last for the duration of the construction project, which is planned to be substantially completed in ninety (90) calendar days, with final completion in one hundred twenty (120) calendar days. The project scope includes new curb, sidewalk, and ADA curb ramp improvements at three intersections and side street locations near the NJ Transit Station (about 1,200 ft. from the Middle School), construction of new curb and sidewalk along the entire westerly side of Hart St., along the southerly side of Union Ave. from Hart St. to Central Ave., and along the easterly side of Central Ave. from Union Ave. to Bridge St. The work also includes construction of seven new ADA ramps, driveway apron reconstruction, pavement stripes, and traffic markings for pedestrian movements. The construction management and inspection services will be subject to the general control and approval of the Borough. Firms responding should have extensive experience and be NJDOT prequalified in construction inspection. Five copies each of the Technical and Cost Proposal must be submitted, with the cost proposal in a separate sealed envelope marked with the RFP Name and “COST PROPOSAL.” Proposals must be submitted in sealed envelope(s) with the RFP Name clearly marked. Firms must possess a Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury at submission. Compliance is required with the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Affirmative Action requirements, Americans with Disabilities Act, and Local Public Contracts Law. The project requires FHWA contract compliance. Proposers must submit a statement listing the names and addresses of all stockholders or partners with a 10% or greater interest.
