Site preparation and construction of new pre-fabricated shade structures at USD 305 Heartland Programs, 700 Jupiter Ave., Salina, KS. The work includes earthwork, site excavation, installation and compaction of LVC and crushed concrete base; construction of concrete sidewalks and slabs for pedestrian access to shelter areas and around playground; construction of shelter/pavilion footings and foundations (foundation systems to be designed and drawings provided by the shelter manufacturer and sealed by a Kansas licensed structural engineer); provision and installation of gutters and downspouts as indicated on the drawings (not provided by the shelter manufacturer); installation of temporary site fencing around the construction area. Davis-Bacon Federal Wage Rates are applicable. The General Construction Contract encompasses general construction, site utilities, site structures, fencing, seeding, and related work into one contract, with the General Contractor responsible for all work. Bidders are expected to familiarize themselves with the site prior to bidding. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
