Renovation of a military facility in McConnell AFB, Kansas. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
This sources sought announcement is for market research purposes only to identify potential sources, including small businesses, capable of performing a B16 PLC Replacement project at McConnell Air Force Base. The work involves replacing obsolete and failing PLC switchgear serving three generators in Building 16, which is currently causing generator control applications to close out or lock out. Due to proprietary equipment within the generator farm, the prime contractor is required to subcontract with 3E Company (Electrical Engineering & Equipment Co.), the designated OEM regional representative for Kohler. The prime contractor shall be responsible for overall project management, coordination, and oversight through project closeout in accordance with the attached statement of work. The applicable NAICS code is 238210 with a small business size standard of $19 million. If adequate small business competition is not available, the requirement may be solicited as unrestricted. Interested parties are requested to submit capability information, bonding capacity, and relevant past performance as outlined in the attached sources sought form. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
