Sealed bids will be accepted for the removal and replacement of damaged sections of guardrail, guardrail end-treatments, and crash cushions under Project ID No. RMDJOC6801, Guardrail Repair and Replacement, South Los Angeles County, in various unincorporated communities of South Los Angeles County. The galvanized surface colorant is designated by specific brand name, Natina Products, LLC, to obtain an item only available from one source. The contract price will be $1,500,000 and shall be for one year or until $1,500,000 of work orders have been completed, whichever occurs first. The prime contractor shall possess a valid California Class C-13 contractor's license. Bids must be submitted electronically using Bid Express before 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. Each bid must be accompanied by a surety bond payable to County of Los Angeles in an amount equal to at least $150,000 to guarantee that the bidder will enter into the contract if awarded. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. All persons performing the work shall be paid at least the General Prevailing Wage Determination. The successful bidder must provide full disclosure of False Claims Act violations, labor law/payroll violations, debarments, and civil/criminal legal actions as outlined in the Instructions to Bidders. Award will be to the lowest responsible bidder, and the Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The contract is also subject to the Defaulted Property Tax Reduction Program and applicable State and Federal reporting requirements. The successful bidder will be required to submit a faithful performance bond, a payment bond, liability insurance, automobile insurance, and worker’s compensation insurance.
