Replace two 12 Ton Trane Performance Climate Changer Air Handling Units (AHUs) in Building 500 at the VA Greater Los Angeles Medical Center. Contractor must provide and install specified Trane AHUs (model UCCAA08C0J0RH032000000EAY00BB0000000B), with a lead time for delivery not to exceed 8 weeks. Tasks include: recovering refrigerant from existing Rheem condensing units (condensing units will remain in place), providing rigging services for existing and new AHUs, disposing of units and materials (with salvage rights reserved), providing labor and necessary piping using copper solder/brazed fittings, reinsulating new piping, providing and installing Y-Strainer, Circuit Center, Actuator, Hoffman Auto purge for each AHU, removing and replacing existing zone thermostats (no integration to BAS), incorporating existing ductwork and condensate piping, installing new disconnect with existing electrical service, supplying and installing one new condensate pan and one set of filters per AHU, and performing factory startup. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm Pacific time, excluding Federal holidays. Contractor personnel requiring access to VA computer systems must undergo background investigations at their own cost. Personnel must comply with security, safety, and English proficiency requirements.
