This project includes installation of a new sanitary sewer grinder pump system, approximately 100 linear feet of sanitary sewer force main, and abandonment of the existing lift station along the north side of Chaplain Schmitt Island, between the casino and amphitheater. Sealed bids must include a bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the contract amount, either in the form of a cashier’s check, certified check, certified share draft, or a bid bond with a satisfactory corporate surety. Successful bidders will be required to furnish a corporate surety bond for faithful performance in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract. Preference will be given to products, provisions, and labor from Iowa to the extent required by law. Bidders should not include State of Iowa sales tax, as a sales tax exemption certificate will be provided. Minority business enterprises will be given full opportunity to submit bids.
