Renovation of a water / sewer project in Simi Valley, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

Request for Proposals for construction management and inspection services for the rehabilitation of Box Canyon Pump Stations Nos. 1, 2, and 3. Project Background and Description: The Box Canyon Pump Stations (BCPS) No. 1, 2, and 3 are located within the eastern portion of the District service area, along the eastern edge of the Simi Valley City limits. BCPS No. 1 is located within the City boundary, and BCPS No. 2 and 3 are located just south of the City boundary. The BCPS No. 1, 2, and 3 and pressure zones that they serve are located within rugged, hilly terrain. This area has a low population density, consisting largely of hilly open space areas and rural land uses. The BCPS pump in series to the 2.0 million-gallon (MG) Box Canyon Tank, 0.13 MG Lilac Tank, and 0.13 MG Thompson Tank. These tanks supply drinking water to approximately 1,395 customers within the District service area. Water is also outsourced to two (2) agencies per contractual agreements with the District, which include Ventura County Waterworks District No.17 (District 17) and Las Virgenes Municipal Water District (Las Virgenes). BCPS serve approximately 1,946 customers in District 17 service area through 720 service connections. In addition, the BCPS supply drinking water to approximately 200 people through approximately 60 service connections in the Las Virgenes service area. In total, these tanks and pump stations supply potable water to 3,541 residents in the Box Canyon area. Additionally, BCPS No. 2 and 3 also operate small onsite tanks that provide limited storage for nearby residents. Because the BCPS system is the sole water supply to the Box Canyon service area, operational reliability is critical Questions and/or concernswill be addressed at this meeting. Interested parties should RSVP to Michel Kadah at mkadah@simivalley.org by 06/30/2026
