Site work for a water / sewer project in Wilmington, Delaware. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project includes the installation, inspection, and testing of switchgear and substation equipment at the Wilmington Regional WWTP. The contractor is also required to provide connection to the utility, reconnect existing electrical loads, and demolish the existing equipment after verifying proper operation of the new electrical system. Bidders and the successful contractor must comply with Delaware Water Pollution Control Revolving Loan Fund Program Requirements, including American Iron and Steel requirements, Build America, Buy America requirements, and a mandatory alcohol and drug testing program. Compliance with State of Delaware Prevailing Wage Rates and Davis Bacon Wage Rates, whichever is higher, is required. A bid bond of 10 percent of the total bid is to be submitted with the bid. Bidders must also follow "Good Faith Efforts" to provide opportunities to Disadvantaged Business Enterprises in the preparation and procurement of construction, supplies, and services.
