Sealed bids are requested for the Wharton Township Municipal Park Compost Toilet Facilities and for the TR798 Smith School Road Culvert Replacement, located in Wharton Township, Fayette County, PA. Contract Documents, including drawings and specifications, are available at McMillen Engineering, Inc. and may be obtained digitally for a nonrefundable fee, or as hardcopies for an additional fee. LOCATION The work covered by these specifications is located along Elliotsville Road at the Wharton Township Municipal Park in Wharton Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania. The project involves the site preparation, construction/installation of two compost toilet facilities, electrical conduit and trenching, and site preparation/sidewalk/parking, as shown on the drawings, addressed and inferred in these documents. To furnish the necessary labor, supervision, power equipment, and material to complete the construction of the compost toilet facilities as identified on the drawings and the technical specifications provided by McMillen Engineering, Inc. and inferred herein. The drawings are a part of these contract documents and are referred to as Wharton Township Municipal Park Compost Toilet Facilities, dated April 2026. The construction includes but is not limited to the following items: 1. Site excavation/preparation 2. Installation/construction compost toilet facilities 3. Installation of utilities- electrical conduit and trenching 4. Parking and sidewalk construction 5. Site restoration A mandatory pre-bid meeting for each project is required for all potential bidders. Bids must include Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates as required by the Prevailing Wage Act No. 442 of 1961. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to 10% of the bid amount. Bids may not be withdrawn within 120 days following bid opening. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any formalities in the bidding process. Completion- September 30, 2026, Question Deadline 06/05/2026 at 4:00 PM ET Any and all Request for Information regarding the project shall be submitted to the engineer in writing. Only questions in writing will be answered by the engineer. Copies of the questions and answers will be forwarded to all Bidders.
