Site work and renovation of a religious / funeral development in Saint Augustine Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a religious / funeral development; and for site work for a religious / funeral development.

Trinity Independent Church, located at 84 Bridge Street, St. Augustine Florida 32084, was constructed in 1913. The rehabilitation project is funded through the City of St Augustine Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), Lincolnville Community Redevelopment Area (LCRA) Institutional Rehabilitation Grant Program. Trinity is a contributing structure to the Lincolnville National Register Historic District and is in dire need of repair and structural stabilization. The dilapidated bell tower is in disrepair and has needed rehabilitation for many years. As Phase I of the multi-phased project, the bell tower will be reconstructed to improve the integrity of the structure and maintain its historic integrity. This is Phase One of a multi-phase rehabilitation project; however, subsequent phases are dependent upon the Trinity Independent Methodist Church. The work of Phase One is limited to the following: Controlled demolition of the existing steeple. Careful salvage of brick. Brick to be palatized for storage. Bricks are to remain on-site. The bricks will be stored on site and the Contractor may need to obtain a portable container like pods or similar to keep on site. The owner does not want the bricks to leave the site. Contractor must take precautions to maintain safety of stored bricks. Salvage of window and door elements to be reused in this project. Removal and restoration of wood steeple top. Protection of interior during demolition and reconstruction activities. Installation of helical piers and foundation supports. Reconstruction of steeple, connecting roof elements, and other exterior elements. Restoration and reconstruction of doors and windows. Construction of new stoop, steps, and handicapped ramp with railings. Grading of the site for proper drainage. Restoration of site surface materials including subgrade and grass. Interior finishes limited to lobby ceiling, walls, wainscot, and flooring. No HVAC, electrical, or other finished systems. Tower reconstruction to be performed in accordance with the attached Architecture (Exhibit A) and Structural (Exhibit B) drawings. Trinity Independent Church is in archaeological zone II D within the City Limits. Archaeological review will be required and may cause time delay. Contractor is responsible for obtaining a building permit. Contractor is responsible for any maintenance of Traffic (MOT) as required and permit applications for construction and any needed road closures. Contractor is responsible for any erosion control methods. Contractor to submit as-builts to City signed and sealed by an engineer licensed in the State of Florida. For the purposes of this solicitation, a Bid guaranty is required. Each Response must be accompanied by a Bid guaranty in the form of a Bid bond or cashier's check, payable to the City, for five percent (5%) of the "Total Cost" indicated on the Solicitation. Cash or Company checks will not be accepted. If submitting a Bid Bond, Respondent is encouraged to utilize the form provided in the solicitation package. The Bid bond must be written through a licensed Florida agency with a company licensed to do business in the State of Florida and meeting the requirements of the Agreement. The guarantee must provide that the Response will remain firm for sixty (60) days after the designated date and hour of the Solicitation opening; that if the Response is accepted, Respondent must enter into a contract with the City in accordance with the Agreement; and that Respondent will provide any required performance and payment bonds and certificates of insurance. Irrespective of the minimum qualifications stated above, the City may make such investigations as it deems necessary to determine the ability of the Respondent to perform the Work. The City reserves the right to reject any Response if the evidence submitted by such Respondent and/or the City's independent investigation of such Respondent fails to satisfy the City that such Respondent is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the Agreement and complete the Work in a manner acceptable to the City within the time period specified.
