Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Fort Myers, Florida. Completed plans call for the construction of a 170,109-square-foot, six-story above grade educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

The South Village (SoVi) Student Housing Building #6 will be a 6-story, 189-unit / 535-bed, student dormitory facility approximately 170,109sf in size. The proposed building is similar to both Eagle Hall (2014) and Osprey Hall (2012), previously constructed immediately adjacent to the proposed SoVi Building #6. Similar to both Eagle Hall and Osprey Hall, proposed SoVi Building #6 will be a Class 1B fullysprinklered building in Residential Group R-2 (dormitory) classification. The proposed Scope of Work anticipated will consist of full facility design, permitting and construction to include all required professional consultants, labor, materials, equipment and other forces as may be necessary to provide a complete and compliant facility in accordance with FGCU requirements and the Building Codes and Standards as set forth herein. The following exceptions apply Civil Engineering and Surveying for the project will be the responsibility of FGCU, which will include all civil / survey services for the building, building site, remote parking lots, easements, stakeout and all site related permitting related thereto. These services will also include Landscape, Hardscape and Irrigation system designs, in addition to parking lot and building vicinity lighting design. Also included in the Scope of Work are two (2) remote asphalt parking lots generally described as "Rec Area Lot" with approximately 150 spaces and "SoVi Admin Lot" with approximately 618 spaces. The proposed Scope of Work for the remote parking lots will include clearing, earthwork, drainage, paving, sidewalks, lighting, landscaping and other services as may be required for complete and compliant facilities. Florida Gulf Coast University (University or FGCU) invites the submission of Replies from interested and qualified corporations, partnerships, and other legal entities authorized to do business in the state of Florida for the opportunity to perform design-build services. This project involves design and construction of a 6-story, 189-unit / 535- bed, student dormitory facility of approximately 170,109sf.
