Description

Demolition, site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Kingston, Ontario. Completed plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field.

This project involves replacing two existing natural grass sports fields with new synthetic turf fields constructed to FIFA Quality PRO and World Rugby Regulation 22 level performance standards. The scope includes the removal and disposal of excess soil, preparing the site, and installing engineered base and drainage systems followed by the selected synthetic turf systems. One field will be a regulation size soccer field and the other a regulation size rugby field with goal posts, each with appropriate inlaid line markings, team branding, and field layouts to support a wide range of training and competitive activities. All components of the installation shall meet the applicable performance certifications, including FIFA Quality PRO for soccer and World Rugby (IRB) Regulation 22 for rugby. The design of the turf fields will need to maximize the use of the available footprint, improve the reliability of the outdoor fields and support a broader range of training and competition schedules within the confined site.
