Site work and paving for a road / highway in Lemont, Illinois. Completed plans call civil work for a road / highway.
Reconstruction and widening of approximately 1,750 feet of roadway on 132nd Street in Lemont, Illinois, from the western terminus to 15607 132nd Street. Work also includes roadside ditches, cross road culverts, and residential driveway replacement. Bidders must submit Bid security in an amount of 10% of the Bidder’s maximum Bid price. Bidders are required to comply with all applicable laws, including those relating to the employment of labor and payment of the general prevailing rate of hourly wages, as well as the general prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work as set by the Illinois Department of Labor for Cook County. If there is excessive unemployment in Illinois, the CONTRACTOR must employ a workforce consisting of at least 90% Illinois laborers, defined as individuals who have resided in Illinois for at least 30 days and intend to remain as residents. All subcontractors must conform to these laws. The Lemont Township Road District reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, waive any technicality, and accept any Bid deemed advantageous. All Bids shall remain subject to acceptance for 85 days after the time set for receiving Bids. Contract award will be made based on the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder.
