Description

Demolition, site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel.

The work includes the replacement of the culvert on Starr Road. This involves bypass pumping, removal of the existing culvert, installation of a proposed 36" HDPE pipe, and paving restoration. Each proposal must be submitted in triplicate and accompanied by a proposal security equal to ten percent of the total proposal amount. Proposals are to remain effective for forty-five calendar days from the bid opening, and the work must be completed within seventy-five calendar days following receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Contractors must be PennDOT prequalified for the work. Prevailing Minimum Wage Rates, as determined by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry, are applicable. Portions of the project may be modified or eliminated due to budget limitations. Lower Heidelberg Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals or portions thereof.
