Site work and renovation of a fire / police facility in Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania. Working plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The Township of Spring is requesting bids for construction involving Water Infiltration Remediation and Building Safety Upgrades. The work is separated into two contracts: 1. General Construction (Contract No. 1): Includes water infiltration remediation and building safety upgrades for the Township of Spring Police Department, ballistic security improvements (doors, windows, glazing, panels), installation of a new exterior electronic billboard and associated electrical work, exterior foundation waterproofing around the full perimeter, epoxy injection at exterior foundations and elevator pit, site and civil improvements (drainage piping, underground roof drain system, foundation drain improvements), new sidewalks and restoration of site surfaces, erosion and sedimentation control, parking lot pavement mill and overlay with pavement markings, electrical demolition and new electrical work, new security camera system and infrastructure, architectural repairs such as brick repair and repointing, handrail reinstallation, flashing and counterflashing, joint caulking, surface preparation and painting, and restoration of site and building to pre-project state. 2. Mechanical Construction (Contract No. 2): Includes mechanical HVAC upgrades (ductwork modifications, diffuser/grille adjustments), coordination of temporary heating and cooling with the owner per construction documents, and restoration of site and building to pre-project state. All project documents are available at no cost at PennBid. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required. Instructions to Bidders: Refer to the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bidding Documents for requirements regarding bid submittal, security, qualifications, procedures, and contract award. Minimum wage rates as determined by the Secretary of the Department of Labor and Industry must be paid. Discrimination based on race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap is prohibited. Compliance with Public Works Employment Verification Act, Act 127 of 2012, is required. Winning bidder and employees working inside the building are subject to a criminal background check; personnel working outside are not. Steel products must be made in the United States. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in received bids.
