The Madison County Board of Supervisors requests Statements of Qualifications from qualified architects or architecture firms for professional architecture services related to the renovation and potential addition to the Madison County Detention Center. The project will encompass HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and any other required trades to enclose an open-air area for building medical cells, interview rooms, and storage space. Additional work may include security control stations, door hardware, and window replacement within the existing space. The architect will be responsible for all architecture services through project closeout in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies. The scope of work includes programming and preliminary design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding and contract negotiation, and construction administration. The selected architect will coordinate with the projects construction manager as necessary. Firms are to submit three copies and one CD or jump drive of their Statement of Qualifications in a sealed envelope marked accordingly. Statements will be evaluated based on consultant profile and capabilities, key personnel, experience with county detention centers and relevant regulations, and completed projects within Madison County. The contract for the awarded firm will include scope and extent of work and other essential requirements, with an architects fee not exceeding 6%. Madison County reserves the right to reject any and/or all SOQ. Madsion County will award a contract with the qualified firm whose SOQ has the highest number of cumulative points and determined to be the most advantageous, all factors considered.
