Rough Framing a. Demo / reframe door rough openings as noted in the drawings (keynote 5 on A3.1, A2.2, A2.4, A2.5) b. Provide demo of existing walls, shoring, and new rough framing at new footings at Stair S2 and Storage 002. c. Provide shoring for concrete demo in basement. d. Provide floor demo and rough framing for elevator shaft. e. Provide demo & framing at Lobby 101 and at Door 101A. f. Cafe a) Demo existing framing as noted. b) Frame new cafe and adjacent openings. g. Remove existing floor sheathing and wing walls at Door 101A. Provide new 1-1/8" plywood sheathing overlay for the entire floor area for Lobby 101 to flush with floor sheathing at Dining 102. Provide framing at door 101A and ceiling/soffit above. h. Frame for attic access hatch in Restroom 209. i. Fill/patch all holes in floor sheathing as described in keynote 1 on A2.4, A2.5. Provide additional fasteners in existing floor sheathing and new floor sheathing as described in keynote 2 on A2.4, A2.5 j. Furnish and install trim over existing beam (see note on 1/A3.1 and 11/A8.4. k. Demo section of south wall at Office 204, area sufficient to relocate owner furnish desk (+-6'- 6" x +-10'-6") from Main Lobby 106 to Office 204. Reframe opening after desk is moved. l. Main entry east wall: Sheet with 3/4 " plywood to provide plumb and level surface for finishes. m. Framing for plumbing chase at Copy Room 202. n. Stair 1 / Dining 102 north wall. Sheet with 3/4 " plywood to provide plumb and level surface for finishes. o. Clerestory above Dining 102: Fur framing per note on 6/A8.1. p. Clerestory above Dining 102: Remove 2x6 studs above existing GLB per note on 6/A8.1. q. Dining 102 South Wall: Sheet with 3/4 " plywood to provide plumb and level surface for finishes. r. Remove section of 2x12 rafter and all interior plywood on wall above Dining 102/Office 208 to allow for installation of batt insulation (insulation to be provided and installed by others). s. Add plywood sheathing to interior side of perimeter GLBs in Lobby 101 to provide plumb and level surface for interior wall finishes. t. Lobby 101: Provide 2x6 furring at ceiling per note on 1/A3.2. u. Coordinate all plywood sheathing with rough mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. v. Provide infill framing at fireplace above opening. 2. Main Entry Vestibule a) Include waterproofing b) Include Type 'X' sheathing c) Windows and flashing (Windows are OF/CI) d) Siding and trim are NOT included. To be installed under separate contract. 3. Steel Installation a. Install owner furnished HSS columns in the basement. 4. Exterior Door Frames and Temporary Doors a. Install owner-furnished exterior door frames. Furnish and install temporary exterior doors. Doors 101, 102, 105, 106, 112, 113, 115, S-2a. 5. Submittals & QA/QC a) Review existing conditions prior to installation. Document and report inconsistencies to the Owner and the design team. b) Coordinate with other trades and contractors on site during construction.
