Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Derry, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Work includes underpinning an existing concrete arch culvert carrying Ten School Road over Spruce Run. Access will use former roads from the Conemaugh River Lake project, requiring construction of a ramp to the stream. Due to the removal and poor condition of old bridge structures, temporary stream crossings will be installed and later removed upon completion. All Bid Proposals must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, either a Corporate Surety or a certified or cashier's check payable to the Derry Township Supervisors, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total Base Bid Proposal. All Corporate Sureties must be registered in the State of Pennsylvania. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after filing. All contractors must adhere to Act 127 of 2012 (Public Works Employment Verification Act). The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Requirement applies to this project. The Derry Township Supervisors reserve the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in bids received.
