Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in McConnell AFB, Kansas. Conceptual plans call for site work for a military facility; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Install a subsurface aeration system at the Air Park pond, including furnishing labor, materials, equipment, and disposal of debris. Work includes installing a rotary vane compressor in a soundproof locking steel cabinet mounted on a reinforced concrete pad adjacent to the sidewalk around the pond, cutting and removing a 24-inch-wide section of sidewalk, trenching beneath the sidewalk, coring through the wall to accommodate multiple air hoses, and installing a 6-inch pipe beneath the sidewalk tied into a valve box area. The scope also includes coupling piping and conduit to route airlines from the cabinet to the pond, replacing the existing valve cover with a larger unit, backfilling trenches, assembling weighted airlines connected to a manifold valve assembly, and distributing subsurface double diffusers across the pond using watercraft. The contractor shall connect and test diffusers and valves, utilize existing 120-volt electrical service at the site, and complete all concrete, mechanical, and installation activities using specified equipment and materials, including diffusers, compressor, manifold assembly, tubing, piping, and associated components. Location: Air Park Pond, McConnell Air Force Base, 53474 McConnell Avenue, Wichita, KS 67221. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
