Reference Number 0000426267 The State of Colorado, Colorado Mesa University (CM) is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for the 12th Street Improvements project. The project proposes construction of a new pedestrian crossing on 12th Street north of Mesa Avenue, that will connect to a new concrete sidewalk between the existing parking garage and Unity Field stadium. The new crossing and sidewalk will provide a protected pedestrian walkway between the Mav Center and large parking lot located east of 12th Street, north of Mesa Ave., south of Orchard Ave. The project must be complete on or before the start of the fall semester, second week of August 2026. The contractor chosen for the project must work cooperatively with CMU and the City of GJ to plan work within 12th Street right of way and parking garage south of Unity Field and north of Mesa Avenue, to limit the project's impact on the traveling public and CMU students, staff, faculty, and visitors. To accomplish this goal will require sufficient notice to the City and CMU when lane closures are proposed in 12th Street, when parking on the north side of the adjacent parking garage will be taken out of service, and all other construction operations that will impact stakeholders. Scope of Services The scope of services will include full Construction Contracting Services for the project specified during the process of construction and warranty period to the State as per the Advertisement for Bid. Specific tasks to be performed by the Contractor include those generally performed by the construction community where the Contractor is the prime vendor to the State. Bidders shall reference the drawings, specifications, and supporting documents in the Appendices for an understanding of the entire scope of the project.
