Renovation of a municipal facility in Markham, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Consultant to attend site to assess the existing condition of the exterior steel doors, frames and hardware at the rear of the building and verify if the doors and frames are insulated. Two of the doors have access control card readers, request-to-exit devices and electric strikes. Provide a report to identify any damage, deterioration, health and safety risks and energy efficiency of the doors and frames. Report any non-compliance with the latest versions of the National Building Code and CSA B651 Accessible design for the built environment. Include a summary of the energy efficiency of the doors and frames using the BGIS Lifecycle Costing Analysis tool. Comment on potential impact to the heritage value of the adjacent exterior cladding of future door and frame repair and replacement. Include options for repair and replacement with Class D construction cost estimates.
