Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Raritan, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.

This project involves milling and paving 24,258 SY of roads, including the entire length of Richard Street and portions of intersecting streets such as Brooklyn Avenue, New York Avenue, Elizabeth Avenue, Riverside Avenue, DeCicco Drive, and DiPaolo Court. Intermediate courses will be used for leveling to eliminate areas of ponding along existing curbs, if and where directed. ADA improvements are scheduled only for roads with existing sidewalks. Scheduled concrete work includes approximately 500 SY of sidewalk and reinforced aprons and 1,700 LF of 9x18 concrete vertical curb replacement on the intersecting streets. Additional site improvements include the installation of signage, driveway repairs, restoration, and inlet reconstruction. The work on Riverside Avenue, DeCicco Drive, and DiPaolo Court is partially funded by the NJDOT 2025 Municipal Aid Grant. Bids must be submitted on the Bid Form in the Contract Documents, enclosed in a sealed envelope with the project name and the bidder’s name and address. Bid Security of not less than ten percent of the total bid (not to exceed $20,000) is required. A Certificate from a Surety Company indicating consent to be bound for performance is also required. Bidders must be registered with the NJ Department of Labor and the NJ Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue at the time bids are received. Bidders must comply with all statutory requirements listed in the Contract Documents. The Borough of Raritan reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any defect not detrimental to the best interests or fairness of the bidding process. Quantities specified may be increased or decreased as designated in the Contract Documents.
