Site work and paving for a road / highway in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

The work to be performed includes: Base Bid 1 covers the milling and resurfacing of Lawlins Road from Old Mill Road to the Borough limits, and the entire length of Stokes Farm Road. It also includes minor HMA driveway improvements and ancillary drainage improvements. Base Bid 2 covers the milling and resurfacing of Shinnecock Trail from the east entrance of Hampton Hill Road to Penobscott Place, and the entire lengths of Waterview Drive, Cherry Street, Woodfield Road, Cobblestone Court, Heather Lane, and Jasmine Court. It also includes guiderail replacement, minor curb improvements, and minor driveway improvements. The principal items of work are: Base Bid 1 – Lawlins Road and Stokes Farm Road: · 9,245 S.Y. HMA Milling, 3” or Less · 1,255 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course Base Bid 2 – 2026 Road Program: · 26,325 S.Y. HMA Milling, 3” or Less · 3,785 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course · 862.5 L.F. Beam Guide Rail The work is to be completed within 90 calendar days of notice to proceed. Instructions to bidders include: Bids must be made upon prescribed forms provided with the contract documents, including the non-collusion affidavit and ownership statement compliance form. Each bid must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond of not less than ten percent of the bid (not to exceed $20,000), payable to the Owner, as a guarantee. The successful bidder must provide a performance and payment bond in the full amount of the bid and the required insurance policies or certificates. In default, the checks will be forfeited to the Owner. Bids from corporations not chartered in New Jersey must include a certificate of authority to do business in New Jersey. Bidders must comply with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 regarding equal employment opportunity and N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2 regarding disclosure of partners and stockholders. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope labeled for the specified project. The successful bidder must comply with prevailing wage rates as determined by the New Jersey Department of Labor. All bids are to be irrevocable for sixty days unless extended by agreement. The Owner reserves the right to reject bids, waive informalities, or accept the lowest responsible bid. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
