The purpose is to establish a contract, through sealed bids, to obtain a qualified vendor for the procurement, furnishing, and delivery of three (3) diesel engine generators. The selected vendor shall supply all necessary equipment, materials, transportation, and services for delivery, including fuel, power, and essential communication capabilities to ensure proper operation, integration, and delivery of the generators. The vendor must also provide all necessary training, instruction on installation, and setup services following equipment delivery. All procurement and contracting must follow state and federal regulations. The vendor shall abide by all relevant laws, rules, and regulations, and hold the Florida Department of Commerce and City of Homestead harmless against claims arising from performance of the work. Affirmative steps must be taken to assure small, minority, and women’s businesses are used when possible. This scope covers the furnishing of three (3) diesel engine generators, to be operated in parallel under a Master Paralleling Controller, with integration into the facility’s backup power system as described, and adherence to all compliance, documentation, and reporting requirements specified for federally funded projects.
