Design and construct a covered parking structure capable of accommodating two composite-sized F-35 fighter aircraft under a design-build approach. The structure will be a non-enclosed canopy featuring a standing seam metal roof with a multiple-segment cantilevered gable design rising toward the interior, supported by load-bearing structural columns positioned around the perimeter with cantilevered roof joists or a space frame extending into the covered area. Acceptable construction methods include pre-engineered buildings, CMU block, tilt-up concrete panels, or other approved systems that meet specified design criteria. The project requires compliance with Miami-Dade County building codes, including high-velocity wind zone requirements in accordance with ASCE/SEI 7-10 and the Florida Building Code. All hardware must be galvanized per ASTM A153 unless stainless steel is used. The scope also includes lightning protection and grounding systems, pavement striping, and installation of aircraft tie-down or mooring points. The contractor must prepare and submit progressive design packages at 35%, 65%, 100% pre-final, and 100% final stages in accordance with ANGETL 24-02 guidelines, ensuring full compliance with design, engineering, and military submittal requirements.
