Description

Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Goshen, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

Bids are requested for the BRIDGE 193 REHABILITATION PROJECT. Bidders are responsible for ensuring their bid is delivered on time to the Office of the Elkhart County Commissioners. Plans, specifications, and bidding documents can be obtained from the Elkhart County Highway Department website and inspected at their office. Proposals must be submitted on forms furnished by the County, accompanied by the contractor’s financial statement, an itemized proposal of labor and material quantities, and a non-collusion affidavit. Bids must be sealed, bear the project title and bidder’s name and address, and only pre-qualified bidders by the Indiana Department of Transportation are eligible. Proof of pre-qualification must accompany the bid. Work may begin on the specified start date and must be completed by the specified completion date; delays will incur liquidated damages. A satisfactory bid bond (10% of bid), payable to the Board of County Commissioners, must accompany each bid. No bid may be withdrawn for thirty days after bid opening without consent. All work is subject to the provisions of the plans and specifications, including completion date and penalty clause. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive informalities in bidding.
