Work includes new walls, ceilings, and finishes. Terrazzo Floor Restoration at Entry; addition of study rooms and Children's activity area; room signage; accessible restrooms; and stair and railing modifications at all floors. Interior work also includes water infiltration treatment at basement walls. b Exterior work includes installation of a new flagpole; exterior building signage and associated lighting; capping open lightwells and sealing gaps in existing lightwell covers; and repair of existing aluminum storefront windows and steel casement windows as indicated. B. Some existing furniture, such as shelving, will remain and shall be relocated by the Contractor as required to complete the Work. A separate contract will provide new furniture. C. Substantial Completion for this project is to be completed in 270 consecutive days. D. Type of Contract. a Project as described in the Summary above will be constructed under a single prime contract Bid for the remodel of the Downtown Library at 424 Texas Street, Shreveport, LA. Bids must be formal, sealed, or electronic, and received by mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit will be held. A bid bond is required. The project is classified under Building Construction if the total bid is $50,000 or more, with a designer's estimate of $3,856,444. The contractor must provide and install one sign and complete the work within 270 calendar days. All required COS Bid Forms must be included for paper bids; missing forms or required information will result in a non-responsive bid.
