The Project includes the following Work: The existing traffic signal at the intersection of Johnson Drive and Quivira Road is nearing the end of its functional life and needs to be replaced with a new traffic signal. The new traffic signal will include the following items at a minimum: traffic control cabinet, signal uprights and mast arms, traffic signal and pedestrian heads, cable and conduit system, fiber interconnect, and ADA compliant curb ramps. Each Bidder shall provide with their Bid a bid bond, cashier’s check, or certified check, in an amount not less than 5% of the total amount of the Bid. Bid security will be returned to the unsuccessful Bidders as indicated in the Instructions to Bidders. The Project has a duration of 150 days from Notice to Proceed to reach Substantial Completion and 170 days from Notice to Proceed reach Final Completion. The Owner anticipates issuing a Limited Notice to Proceed (LNTP) for procurement activities at the beginning of August 2026, followed by a full Notice to Proceed for construction. The awarded Bidder shall provide a traffic signal equipment procurement and delivery schedule, along with a project schedule, to assist the Owner in establishing the full Notice to Proceed date. Contract Time shall commence upon issuance of the full Notice to Proceed. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids.
