Site work and paving for a road / highway in Shawnee, Kansas. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
K-7 and 75th is currently an at grade intersection that does not allow north-bound traffic movements on K-7 when coming from the west on 75th Street, or south-bound traffic movements on K-7 when coming from the east on 75th street. The current intersection configuration does not allow traffic to cross K-7 from the east or west. This project will require the acquisition of right of way necessary to create a grade separation for 75th Street to cross over K-7 with a bridge structure. A diverging diamond interchange is contemplated to maximize safety by eliminating conflict points while minimizing the required right of way required. The project is included in the City's 2026-2035 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of June 30, 2026, further details have not yet been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
