The Town of Cochrane is requesting quotations from qualified geotechnical engineering firms to undertake a geotechnical investigation and preliminary earthworks assessment of municipally owned lands located on Chalmers Avenue, legally described as Glackmeyer Concession 2, Part Lot 21, Parcel 2688 LG. The subject lands consist of multiple parcels on both the east and west sides of Chalmers Avenue and are being evaluated for future residential development. The assignment aims to assess subsurface conditions, identify potential geotechnical constraints, evaluate earthworks considerations, and provide recommendations to support future planning, servicing, engineering and development feasibility studies. Information obtained may be provided to future consultants retained by the Town in support of these studies. The bidder shall provide a fixed lump-sum quotation for the complete scope of work. The quoted price must include all labour, project management, field investigation, drilling and sampling activities, laboratory testing, engineering analysis, reporting, travel, mobilization, demobilization, accommodation, meals, equipment, vehicles, permits, disbursements, overhead, profit, and all other costs necessary to complete the assignment. No additional charges for travel, mobilization, accommodation, mileage, equipment transportation, laboratory testing, or other incidental expenses will be accepted unless expressly authorized in writing by the Town through an approved change order.
