Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Sand Lake, New York. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel.

Thais Road Bridge Replacement Over Wynants Kill, BIN 2201980, Town of Sand Lake, Rensselaer County. The project's limits extend from the intersection of Thais Road & Springer Road to 200 feet north of the existing bridge over Wynants Kill. The scope of work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work as shown on the plans and described in the specifications, including but not necessarily limited to: replacement bridge with precast concrete adjacent slabs and cast-in-place concrete abutments and wingwalls; placement of medium stone fill in the vicinity of the abutments and wing walls and along Wynants Kill; replacement of steel bridge rail with four-rail box beam bridge rail; full depth pavement reconstruction on Thais Road; and a mill and overlay of Springer Road. The work will be performed while traffic is maintained on the existing roadway alignment and bridge. Once the new structure is completed, the existing bridge will be removed. Bidders are required to submit sealed bids for the project.
