Sealed bids are requested for providing all labor and materials necessary for the construction of the Trotter Convention Center HVAC Replacement. The project generally consists of the replacement of existing rooftop HVAC equipment at the Trotter Convention Center. This includes demolition and disposal of designated rooftop units and associated disconnects, installation of new packaged rooftop units, curb adapters, duct transitions, connections to existing ductwork, condensate routing, thermostat replacement, natural gas connection modifications, electrical reconnection, testing, adjusting and balancing, start-up, warranties, and closeout requirements, as described in the Contract Documents. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope. Bidders submitting bids in excess of $50,000 must show their Certificate of Responsibility Number on the bid and on the envelope. If the bid does not exceed $50,000, this must be noted on the envelope. Each bid must include a Bid Bond or Certified Check equal to 5% of the bid, payable to the City of Columbus. The successful bidder must provide Payment and Performance Bonds for 100% of the contract amount. Bid documents are available for purchase and must be ordered through the specified website. Disadvantaged and women’s business enterprises are encouraged to participate, and there will be no discrimination on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in contract awards. The City of Columbus reserves the right to reject bids and waive informalities or irregularities.
