Sealed bids are solicited for the collection and removal of refuse and recycling, including one large item per week, within Jacobus Borough for the years 2027 through 2030 as further defined in the specifications. Bids must be plainly marked on the envelope and can be picked up or requested electronically. Each bid must be accompanied by a $25,000 certified or cashier's check, money order, or bid bond with corporate surety payable to the Borough. The successful bidder must post a performance bond and provide proof of insurance within fifteen days after the award. All bids must include a Non-Collusion Affidavit, a fully completed Statement of Bidder Qualifications, a Contact Information Sheet, and any other documents required by the General Requirements and Conditions for Bidding. The Borough Council reserves the right to waive technicalities or informalities, reject any or all bids, choose any combination or alternate bid, and reject alternates.
