Renovation of a fire / police facility in Florissant, Missouri. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

This project involves a comprehensive refresh of the suspended ceiling system at the Police Station. The work includes removing and disposing of all existing ceiling tiles, performing structural repairs and realignments on the existing grid, and painting and refinishing the grid to a like-new condition before installing new acoustic tiles. The project will be executed in three primary phases: Phase I: Demolition & Site Preparation - Protect all sensitive electronics and office equipment using plastic sheeting, remove and legally dispose of all existing ceiling tiles according to local environmental regulations, and conduct a site-wide inspection for issues such as sagging runners, loose perimeter angles, or compromised hanger wires. Phase II: Structural Repair & Grid Painting - Replace any bent or structurally compromised T-bars, re-align sagging sections and secure them, clean the existing metal grid with a damp sponge or degreaser to remove dirt and residue, and apply professional-grade acrylic dry-fall paint or specialized grid touch-up paint for a uniform, durable finish. Phase III: Installation & Cleanup - Install new 2'x2' or 2'x4' acoustic ceiling tiles ensuring precise fits around HVAC diffusers and lighting fixtures, confirm all tiles sit level and flush within the rehabilitated grid, and perform a final site cleanup, including the removal of all project-related debris and dust. Instructions to bidders include confirming compliance with proposal requirements, uploading a complete proposal with qualifications, timeline, safety policies, warranty details, and protection/cleanup plans. Bidders must provide certificates of insurance listing the City as additional insured, confirm cost of work, acknowledge the potential for rejection of bids, submit references, participate in a federal work authorization program, provide a bid security deposit (at least 5% of the bid), and agree to furnish a performance bond equivalent to 100% of the contract price if awarded the contract. Separate cost proposals and adherence to specified bid and contract processes are required. All work invoiced through November 30 must be invoiced separately from work provided after that date. Bidders must certify non-collusion and, when possible, use American made products.
