Description

Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Shelby, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The project generally consists of the expansion and improvement of the City of Shelby’s First Broad River Wastewater Treatment Plant to increase wastewater treatment capacity from 6 million gallons per day (MGD) to 7.5 MGD, improve long-term system reliability, support continued economic development, and accommodate future residential, commercial, and industrial growth within the City’s wastewater service area. Improvements may include, but are not limited to, construction of additional treatment capacity of 1.5 MGD, upgrades to existing treatment processes, related site improvements, electrical and controls improvements, piping, utilities, and other appurtenant work necessary for a complete and operational wastewater treatment plant expansion. All construction will take place on the existing plant site.
