Bedford Township Municipal Authority is requesting bids for the Water System Improvements Project, which includes two sub-projects: Bedford Springs Well No. 2 Development and Business 220 Waterline Replacement. The Bedford Springs Well No. 2 Development involves developing the existing test well into a production well, installing concrete valve/metering vaults at the proposed and existing wells, installing about 1,250 linear feet of 4-inch and 6-inch ductile iron waterline to convey untreated groundwater to the existing water treatment facility, installing a new chemical feed and injection point in the facility, and completing other necessary associated work. Bids are required for general/mechanical and electrical work contracts for this sub-project. The Business 220 Waterline Replacement sub-project includes construction of approximately 10,400 linear feet of 4- to 12-inch water mains and 2,630 linear feet of pipe bursting of a 12-inch main with associated appurtenances. Bids are required for this contract as well. Bids must be submitted in person, as faxed bids are not accepted. Copies of contract documents for each sub-project must be purchased separately, with electronic and paper options available.
