Renovation of a fire / police facility in Meriden, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
Install new BODA 3P Automatic Transfer Switch. Provide stamped, engineered drawings. Excavation and bollard installation. Provide remote annunciator installation. Provide temporary generator for cutover. Install new feeder conduit and wiring between generator and electrical service equipment. Core drill for 4" EMT conduit penetrations. Install 600MCM copper feeder conductors. Install 1/0 grounding conductors. Install 1" EMT control conduit. Modify existing pull box for new feeder routing. Firestop all new penetrations. Provide scheduled system shutdown coordination. Perform ATS system switchover to new equipment. Complete startup, load testing, and commissioning of emergency power system. Install, position, and place the temporary generator upon delivery. Perform connection readiness, securing, and general setup required for safe operation. Provide all labor and incidental materials necessary to complete the above tasks. Perform and install any and all rewiring necessary to ensure all service is fully connected and operational from the building to the generator completely. Bids must be submitted electronically via the specified City portal. Bidders are to examine all documents and visit the site. Each bid must include a notarized Non-Collusive Statement, Request for Status as a Meriden Based Business (if applicable), Bidder's Qualification Statement, Form of Surety Guaranty, and Bid Bond. No bidder may withdraw its bid within ninety days of the opening. Local preference and prevailing wage requirements apply. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to award any item or group of items, and to waive informality or technical defects if deemed in its best interest. The successful firm must maintain required licenses/certifications, obtain necessary permits, comply with affirmative action and equal employment opportunity practices, and provide required insurance coverage. All materials, equipment, and services are subject to inspection, and all defective work must be remedied without extra compensation.
