Renovation of an office development in Browning, Montana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 3,500-square-foot office development.

The Blackfeet Manpower Program is accepting sealed bids from qualified and licensed general contractors to provide construction services for the reframing and installation of a metal roof on the Blackfeet Manpower main office building. The project consists of approximately 3500 square feet of framing and installation of a pitched metal roof designed to match the adjoining structure. A detailed scope of work and project specifications may be obtained at the Blackfeet Manpower Administration office during normal business hours. All contractors submitting bids must be properly licensed and insured, be registered and in good standing with the Blackfeet Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO), and comply with all applicable tribal, federal, and state regulations. Sealed bids must be received no later than 4:00 pm on June 26, 2026. Late submissions will not be accepted. Blackfeet Manpower reserves the right to reject any bids and to waive minor informalities in the bidding process if deemed in the best interest of the program. additional information or questions regarding the project, please contact Allie Edwards 406-338-3821 or 3822. 1. Preparation and Safety o Permits/TERO o Protection: Protect landscaping, siding, windows, and fences with tarps. o Site Setup: Set up compliant safety equipment 2. Tear-off and Disposal o Removal: Remove existing roofing materials (shingles, underlayment, flashing, pipe boots) down to the wooden roof deck o Disposal: Remove all debris from job site daily and dispose in a designated container Decking Inspection and Repairs o Inspection: Inspect roof decking for rot, damage, or soft spots after tear-off. o Replacement: Replace sheets of plywood/OSB decking if needed. Additional decking to be replaced at a pre-approved rate per sheet (change order). o Securing: Nail all loose sheathing before underlayment installation Underlayment and Waterproofing o Ice and Water Shield: Install high-temperature, self-adhering ice and water shield on eaves, valleys, rakes, and around penetrations. 5. Structural Pitch Addition (Framing) o Structural Review: Contractor to verify framing plan per engineered specification (if required) o Framing: Install new engineered roof trusses or rafter framing over the existing structure to create a pitch. o Chimney/Penetrations: Rebuild chimney cricket to new pitch specifications. Metal Roof Installation o Panel Type: Install 24-gauge or 26-gauge (standing seam/ribbed) metal panels to match adjoining roof, Kynar prefinished. o Fasteners: Install panels using (concealed clips for standing seam/neoprene washer screws for ribbed) to allow thermal expansion. o Trim Flashings: o Install new 24ga steel drip edge at eaves o Install new 24ga valley pans o Install new ridge camps, gable/rake trim, and sidewall flashing o Chimney: Reflash the chimney with new counter flashing and seal with high-grade sealant. Ventilation and Cleanup o Ventilation: Install new metal ridge vent system or update existing ventilation to meet code. o Final Inspection: Ensure all panels, fasteners, and trim are securely fastened. o Clean-up: Perform final cleaning of the site to remove all remnants of material and debris. Warranty and Payment o Workmanship Warranty: Minimum 5-year workmanship warranty. o Material Warranty: 3O-year finish warranty from the manufacturer. o Payment Terms: 1/3 deposit, 1/3 upon material delivery, 1/3 upon completion
