The project consists of construction of the Cattle Congress lift station and force main near the Cedar River in Waterloo, Iowa. The work includes demolition and reconstruction of the Cattle Congress Lift Station, installation of a natural gas generator for back-up power, and construction of a force main to pump the flow east along the South Riverside Trail to an existing force main manhole northwest of Conger Street. The lift station is located on the north edge of the National Cattle Congress complex. Sealed proposals are required and must be submitted according to the requirements described in the plans and specifications on file at the Office of the City Clerk. Optional paper copies of the plans and specifications are available from AECOM for a refundable deposit, provided they are returned in usable condition within the specified timeframe. Bid documents must be obtained through Questcdn.com or the AECOM office to be included on the official plan holders list; failure to do so may disqualify bids. The City reserves the right to reject bids that do not include current bidding documents. Doc note: No deposits will be refunded for any requests or plans received after the 14th consecutive day, which includes plans returned via mail service. Plan holders are responsible for ascertaining when the project has been awarded. If the plan holder is the prime contractor, or a subcontractor or supplier of the prime contractor that has been awarded the project, Plans and Specifications do not need to be returned to receive the deposit. The prime contractor must submit a list of his subcontractors and suppliers for the City and consulting engineer to verify eligibility for the refundable deposit.
