Renovation of an educational facility in Walnut, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The project consists of providing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation, tools, permits, and incidentals necessary to perform complete exterior surface preparation and painting of the entire building complex. Work includes, but is not limited to, surface preparation, surface repairs, patching, caulking, sealant application, water blasting/pressure washing, cleaning, priming, and the application of specified paint and protective coating systems to all designated exterior surfaces. The Contractor shall thoroughly prepare all surfaces to ensure proper adhesion and long-term performance of the coating system. Any deteriorated, damaged, or failed materials identified within the scope of work shall be repaired or treated prior to painting. Work shall also include protection of adjacent surfaces, landscaping, equipment, and facilities from damage or overspray, as well as complete cleanup and disposal of all project-related debris. The project will be performed in multiple phases, with work sequencing and scheduling coordinated through the Mt. SAC Representative to minimize disruption to campus operations and maintain safe access for students, faculty, staff, and visitors throughout the duration of the project. Upon completion, all painted surfaces shall present a uniform appearance and meet the quality standards specified in the contract documents. Restoration of the exterior stucco surfaces and other painted concrete elements will require thorough preparation, cleaning, removal of failing coatings, repair of damaged substrates, application of appropriate primers, and installation of new protective paint systems. The work will restore, preserve, and protect the exterior surfaces of the Building 26 complex, improve the appearance, extend service life, reduce maintenance costs, and protect the District's investment. Contractors must thoroughly review all project specifications, drawings, and related documents to fully understand the required work and to accurately determine all resources necessary for project completion. All interested bidders must submit a complete Prequalification Application with all required supporting documentation. Only those determined to be prequalified under this specific solicitation will be eligible to bid. Any prior prequalification approvals do not apply to this solicitation, and only contractors who receive a Prequalification Approval Letter will be eligible to bid in the subsequent phase. Contractors who do not receive this approval shall not submit a bid for the project. Prequalification is mandatory for all interested bidders, including those previously prequalified on other District projects or solicitations.
