A general description includes but is not limited to the following major items. 1. Relocation of the Pump Station controls from the sub-terranean dry pit into an above ground cabinet, located on a pad above the 100-year flood elevation. 2. Raising the ground around the pump station and adding a concrete pad to prevent flooding of the dry pit. 3. Floodproof the dry pit. Install submersible pumps in the dry pit in order to maintain operations of the pump station if the sump pump fails. In addition, all lighting and exhaust fans will be waterproof. Install a high-water sensor and switch, which sends an alarm to the township's SCADA system to alert of a flood in the dry pit.
