Site work and paving for a road / highway in Sharpsville, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
Grind existing surface to depth of 6". After grinding, reshape the roadway to a 2% slope. The surface will then be compacted with a 10 ton sheeps foot roller and a 10 ton steel drum roller to non-movement (Grinding and re-shaping will be done at a 18' width). Once the surface is approved by the Township, furnish and apply an Asphalt Surface Treatment, Special, consisting of MC-70, #67 Aggregate, CRS-2 and AASHTO #8 Aggregate at a finished width of 18'. All materials are to be PennDOT Approved. Grind, shape, and compact the existing roadway to a depth of 6 inches for 13,722 square yards. Apply asphalt surface treatment, special (MC-70) for 23,722 square yards. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $975.00 per calendar day. Proposals must be submitted on forms provided by the municipality. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, made payable to the municipality. A performance bond or certified check in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be provided by the successful bidder within 20 days after the contract is awarded. The municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
