The Madison County Board of Commissioners is seeking sealed bids for the 2026 TSPLOST road projects for Madison County. Specifications and bid packets must be obtained from the County Road Department at 1501 Highway 98 West, Danielsville, Georgia, 30633. Bids should be sealed and clearly marked on the outside of the envelope as "Sealed Bid #26-08 for 2026 TSPLOST Road Project for Madison County." Bids are to be received no later than 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. The bid opening will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2026 in the Public Meeting Room at the Government Complex. Bids may be mailed to Madison County Board of Commissioners, County Clerk's Office, 91 Albany Ave suite 306, Danielsville, GA 30633 or hand delivered to the same address. All bid packages must contain a 10% bid bond, 100% Performance Bond, and O.C.G.A 13-10-91 E-Verify Affidavit to be considered. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Start date will be no earlier than September 28(TM). COMPLETION date for MICRO will be October 31, 2026. Contractor will coordinate with county on these dates. Micro stockpile material shall be in place 7 days before start of micro resurfacing. o Final Striping must be completed no later than December 15, 2026. The existing centerline and edge line pavement markings shall be replaced per 652 spec pavement markings for the full length of Resurfacing / Pavement preservation operations. Temporary centerline and edge lines shall be replaced according to Special Provision Section 150. Final centerline and edge lines shall be according to the Standard Specification Section 652. RPM's (Including any Type 10's) shall be replaced for the full length of pavement preservation operations. TWO RPMS will be placed on centerline at 80 foot intervals on all final surfaces. Thermoplastic pavement markings damaged by pavement preservation operations shall be replaced in kind. Thermoplastic shall be replaced according to Standard Specification Section 653. Thermo includes stop bars, arrows/words, crosswalks, hatching, R/R symbols, etc. The contractor is responsible for visiting project site to determine the amount/type of pavement markings needed.
