The work consists of the modernization of three elevators and their associated machine rooms at three separate buildings. Each building has one elevator included in the project: two passenger elevators with three stops each, and one freight elevator with two stops. The platforms and guides for all elevators are to remain, but cab enclosures, cab door panels, elevator controls, accessible operating panels, lighting, and flooring are to be replaced or refinished. Passenger elevators will receive new signal fixtures, hall door panels, and hall call stations relocated to accessible heights. The freight elevator's bi-parting hall door will be refinished and its hall call stations also relocated. The hydraulic jacks for all elevators will be replaced. Each pit gets a sump, and each machine room receives dedicated cooling for the new equipment and fire detection upgrades. Additional work includes concrete patching, machine room door replacements, architectural finishes and signage, hoistway lighting and electrical work, and installation of security cameras integrated into the facility’s system. The freight elevator will have extra sprinkler heads added. Work on all elevators will proceed simultaneously, with priorities set in coordination with the project representative. Coordination is required with a separate ongoing project at one building's elevator lobby. Base bids are to be received as a single lump sum for fire protection, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical. Bidders must be certified and provide a 10% bid guarantee. Submission can be via the eBuilder Bid Portal (preferred), mail, or hand delivery. The bidder is responsible for ensuring bid delivery by the specified deadline. Bid opening will occur virtually via Microsoft Teams.
