Please contact Tony Panico, 312.248.8629, apanico@bloomcos.com for additional information In general, the work consists of the modernization of three (3) elevators and their associated machine rooms at three separate buildings. Each building is of noncombustible construction, and has one elevator as part of this project; there are two passenger elevators having 3 stops, and one freight elevator having 2 stops. All three elevator platforms and guides to remain, and each platform will receive replacement cab enclosures, cab door panels, elevator controls, accessible operating panels, lighting, and new or refinished flooring. The passenger elevators receive replacement signal fixtures, hall door panels, and hall call stations relocated to accessible height. The freight elevator bi-parting hall door is refinished, and hall call stations are relocated to accessible height. At the existing pits to remain, the hydraulic jacks for all three elevators will be replaced with hydraulic, PVC-lined jacks at existing cylinder hole locations. Redrilling of the existing jack holes, where necessary, is not part of the Base scope and is determined at the time of jack removal. Each pit receives a sump, and each machine room receives dedicated cooling for the modernized elevator equipment, controller, and associated electrical work and fire detection system upgrades. Each pit receives concrete patching as necessary for jack replacement and sump work, and each machine room receives replacement out swinging rated metal doors and associated architectural finishes and signage. Each hoistway receives replacement lighting and electrical work necessary for the installation. Security cameras will be installed in all three cabs, and integrated into the facility's security system. The freight elevator is within a sprinklered building and receives the addition of two heads in the hoistway and one within the machine room.
