Sewer separation work as part of the Central Area Sewer Separation project. Bonds: 5% Bid Bond, Certified Check required, 100% Performance Bond. The improvements to be completed as part of this project are located between Forest Road and Barnsdale Road, and Oak Avenue and Jackson Avenue. The scope of work includes installing a new water main and storm sewer, as well as concrete, asphalt, and landscape restorations This improvement consists of the installation of a 48" storm sewer along Homestead Road from Monroe Avenue to Oak Avenue, along with the installation of 24" diameter storm sewers on Monroe, Harding, and Oak Avenues between Forest Road and Barnsdale Road. In addition to this, 18" diameter storm sewers on Forest Road and Barnsdale Road will also be constructed to convey midblock drainage structures to the sewer mentioned above. Prior to the installation of the storm sewers, an 8-inch water main will be constructed on Homestead Road from Oak Avenue to Jackson Avenue, along with the replacement of lead water services. The work will include installing approximately 2,300 feet of 8 " ductile iron pipe water main; installation of approximately 1,200 feet of 24" diameter storm sewers consisting of reinforced concrete and ductile iron pipe; installation of approximately 1,400 feet of 18" polyvinyl chloride pipe and reinforced concrete storm sewer pipe. Also included will be the replacement of the public portion of water service and reconnecting existing private side water services; replacement of private side lead water/galvanized water services; installation of aggregate base course, hot mix asphalt surface, class C and D patching, and restoration consisting of the replacement of curb and gutter, sidewalk, driveways, drainage structures , and landscaped parkways as needed.
