Roof replacement and asbestos abatement for Building 10 at Sunmount DDSO. All individuals who plan to attend pre-bid meetings or bid openings in person will be required to present government-issued picture identification to building security officials and obtain a visitors pass prior to attending the bid opening. Individuals and entities submitting bids in person or by private delivery services should allow sufficient time for processing through building security to assure that bids are received prior to the deadline for submitting bids. The scope of work involves the removal and replacement of the existing slate and asphalt shingle roofing system of Building 10 located at Sunmount DDSO in Tupper Lake, NY. The existing upper pitched slate shingle roof and the lower pitched asphalt shingle roofs on each side are at its end of their useful lives. All these roofs are to be removed and replaced with a new asphalt shingle roofing system with ice protection membrane underlayment, metal snow slides, and gutters at the roof edges as indicated. All the existing architectural, plumbing and mechanical items on each roof need to be removed and reinstalled as detailed. Areas have been identified as containing hazardous materials and will need to be abated prior to the removal and replacement of these roofing systems. this solicitation includes and imposes certain restrictions on communications between DASNY personnel and a prospective bidder during the procurement process.
