Project Consists of a New Two-story Plus Full-basement, 68,460 Sf Steel-framed, Masonry-veneer Building to House Courtrooms and Support Spaces for Court and County Operations. Project Site is on County Owned 14.4-acre Parcel East of the Transylvania County Public Safety Facility Bounded by Public Safety Way to the South and Maintenance Hl to the West. Surrounding Site Work is Included in This Project. Viewing Procurement and Contracting Documents: Examine After August 26, 2026, at the Office of the Architect. Bids Will Be Binding for a Period of Sixty (60) Calendar Days From the Date Bids Are Opened. Bidders Must Be Prequalified by Owner. Bidders Must Be Properly Licensed Under the Laws Governing Their Respective Trades and Be Able to Obtain Insurance and Bonds Required for the Work. A Performance Bond and a Separate Labor and Material Payment Bond in the Amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract Amount, and Insurance in a Form Acceptable to Owner Will Be Required of the Successful Bidder. All Bids Are to Be Accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check in the Amount of Five Percent (5%) of the BASE Bid Amount. No Bids May Be Withdrawn for a Period of Sixty (60) Days After Opening of Bids. Successful Bidder Shall Begin the Work on Receipt of the Notice to Proceed and Shall Complete the Work Within the Contract Time. Work is Subject to Liquidated Damages. Bids Are to Be Submitted on the Bid Form Provided, Enclosed in a Sealed Opaque Envelope Bearing the Name, Address, and Contractors License Number of the Bidder, Identification of the Contract Being Bid and Name of the Project. The Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids, Waive Informalities and Irregularities and Award the Contract in the Best Interest of the Owner.
