This work shall consist of slope stabilization, removal of existing concrete waste block retaining wall, removal of temporary road , landscaping and construction of Broad Brook Road. Description of Work: The purpose of this project is to stabilize slope failure and reconstruct Broad Brook Road. The slope along the southeast side of the roadway failed during the flooding events in July 2023. The toe of the slope has been scoured by Broad Brook and the resulting slope failure impacted Broad Brook Road and its guardrail. This project includes the following major elements; removal of temporary existing concrete waste block retaining wall on the uphill side of Broad Brook Road, removal of the existing 12ft wide temporary roadway and construction of the 18ft wide permanent gravel roadway, and permanent slope stabilization measures both up and down slope of Broad Brook Road. See attached Drawings and Special Provisions for details on the required work. o The project shall be substantially completed no later than October 30, 2026. Liquidated damages will apply for failure to obtain substantial completion within the Contract Time The time of receiving and opening bids may be postponed due to emergencies or unforeseen conditions. All Bids must be accompanied by: a negotiable bid guarantee which shall not be less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid , a completed Debartment and Non-Collusion Affidavit, and a signed Contractors Equal Employment Certification Form. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
