Installation of new latrines and replacement of HVAC systems at the Sturgis Armory. History/Background of Project 1. The Sturgis Armory Full Time Staff have had to share bathrooms and locker rooms with the high school students since this armory has been in use. This project will construct a new unisex bathroom for the exclusive use of Sturgis Armory Full Time Staff. 2. The air handling unit serving the existing Sturgis Armory is at the end of its life and needs to be replaced. The existing air handling unit is a large split system, with the existing air handling unit is above the ceiling in the area of the proposed new bathroom. The existing air handling unit will have to be demolished and removed internal of the building prior to the new unisex bathroom being constructed . The proposed air handling unit will be roof mounted. B. Project Scope of Work Includes: 1. Prior to bathroom and lactation room construction, the existing air handler must be demolished first. Ductwork to adapt to a new roof top unit must be done prior to bathroom and lactation room construction.
